Meet Darcie and Jon!
Before there was Brown Sparrow Books, there was Katherine’s Books and Collectibles. Opening in 1986 in Fairfield Glade, Darcie— a second generation bookseller— worked her first job at her parents’ bookstore.
Her lifelong love of books led her to opening M&B Books in 2024 with her husband, Jon, in hopes of giving Cumberland County a cozy place to shop new books locally. Now, they are excited to expand with Brown Sparrow Books in honor of Darcie’s parents, the love of reading they instilled in her, and to share that love with Crossville.
